Anne Rice was a prolific writer, most well known for her gothic fiction like The Vampire Chronicles. Raised in Louisiana, much of her writing is informed by southern roots and her experiences in loss that plunged her deeper into writing practice. With over 150 million copies of books sold and multiple film adaptations, Anne Rice is considered one of the most popular and best-selling authors of our time. Let’s take a look at her unique human design chart to see how it helped her excel in her writing career.

As a 2/4 Splenic Manifestor, Anne was designed to be dedicated to mastering her craft and also seizing the opportunity that life invited her too. The line two in her profile is the hermit, which means she needed time alone to focus on her craft. The line 2 is often considered a genius in the field of choice because so much time is spent in maximizing their talents in that area. For Anne, that area was writing, and excel she did. The line 4 is the opportunist line, which could also mean networking. For writers, this is a great line to have in terms of making the right connections in the industry, putting your work out there in front of the right people, and utilizing relationships to share your work with the world. She became incredibly successful in publishing and even within adapting her work for the screen.

In terms of what Anne’s chart reveals about what she could write. She had an open mind via the open crown center, meaning she had a really flexible way of comprehending lots of concepts and ideas. That could also be overwhelming, but there was no limit to her creative genius there. She could also pull a lot of ideas from her defined root center and identity. As we can see, so much of Anne’s writing was informed by upbringing in the south, her catholic culture, and the wrestling of painful losses that occurred in her life.

Anne could also look at her gates to give her signs on the content she would produce. Both gate 51 and 39 meant she was created to shock and provoke people with her work. Her writing was unique and compelling. It was also full of depth, which she derived from her gate 48. Overall, this allowed Anne to write material that would be unique, provocative, and deep. Readers from around the world were impacted by Anne’s powerful ability to tell story.

Every writer has a unique writing process, Anne’s 1648 channel made her writing process one that was continually working towards perfection. This is why her drafts were always being edited as she went. She would never let anyone read a shitty first draft, but would make them as finished as possible. This would make the writing process go a bit longer, but once the work was submitted, it was ready to be shared with the world.

She also had mostly left facing variables in her chart, which meant to did well to have more structure and framework for her writing process. She most likely had a consistent writing routine and practice that worked well for her, along with a writing space that she loved to work from.

In terms of time spent writing, Manifestors do not have sustained energy to work for periods of time, so they do well to take breaks often and give themselves a chance to refuel. She might have felt a pressure to get things done quickly, but her design asked her for a creative reset. Something like a blocked writing schedule with frequent breaks would have served her well.

Some things Anne could have watched for in terms of resistance, were her open head and sacral centers. This could have brought about a lot of mental pressure and taking on the emotional tension of others. The best thing to do here is practice releasing attachment to outcome and create boundaries for self, especially to guard your creative process.

She would have found comfort in her RAX cross of tension 3 (aka personal destiny) as it revealed a lot of depth in her and a deep drive to understand. She was someone that needed to master a craft and move through the process to land in her talent. We see this in her deep determination and longevity in her writing career.

As a career, Anne was one of the most successful writers of her day. With the 2145 money line and the gate 35 that speaks too royalty, she was sure to be financially successful in her field and also considered to be a writer of great influence. Surprise, surprise, she actually has gate 31, so she was meant to make a great impact on people around her. No doubt, Anne Rice was a Writer that inspired and will continue to inspire writers and readers alike with her brilliant storytelling.

Writing tips for Anne’s design:
She was independent and strong-willed.
She would do well to trust her own gut and creative direction.
Time blocking and frequent breaks for creative rest and reboot.
More structure and consistent writing practice.
She had flexible creative expression.
Her work was meant to provoke people.
